Unlike traditional brokerages that follow stock exchange hours, Cronos app uses tokenized versions of stocks and ETFs. This means you can buy Tesla at 2am on a Sunday if you want to.
Are there any exceptions?
In rare cases, trading for a specific asset may be temporarily paused. This can happen when:
A stock undergoes a corporate action such as a stock split or merger.
There is a scheduled platform maintenance.
An unusual market event requires a temporary halt.
If an asset is unavailable, the app will tell you why and when trading is expected to resume.
Questions
Do tokenized stocks follow US market hours?
No. You can trade them at any time. Traditional stock exchanges have opening and closing bells, but Cronos app does not.
Will I get a different price trading a stock at night versus during market hours?
Prices reflect real-time market conditions. Outside traditional market hours, volatility may differ, but you will always see the current price before you confirm. There is no penalty or surcharge for trading at off-peak times.
Is there any regular maintenance window?
Cronos app does not have a fixed maintenance window. If maintenance is scheduled, you will be notified in advance.
