Perps, short for perpetual contracts, let you trade on the price movement of an asset without owning the asset itself.
The perpetuals trading functionality available through Cronos is operated and provided by Hyperliquid, an independent third-party platform. Cronos does not operate, control, or guarantee any aspect of the perpetuals trading service. Your use of this feature is governed by Hyperliquid's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other applicable agreements between you and Hyperliquid. By accessing this feature, you acknowledge that you are entering into a direct relationship with Hyperliquid and that Cronos is not a party to any trades you execute.

Leverage risk: Perpetuals allow you to trade with leverage, meaning small price movements can result in large gains or losses relative to your margin.
